Today I met up with local artist and print designer, Shawn Hileman of Masthead Studio, to coat the students’ silk screens for our design in print mini course! We are very excited for next week!

New rotations
Thursday will begin a new 7th grade art rotation. I am excited to see what creative ideas this group brings to the seventh grade art projects.
I will have a new class of 6th grade students come Friday. Thursday all 6th graders will be going to the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Lucky!!! I hope they enjoy it and come back with loads of inspiration and ideas.

What color is a mirror??
As 7th graders create their color wheels, we encounter many questions about color and it’s properties. Here is an interesting video discussing the color of a mirror and it’s reflective quality!

An Inspiration…
Sabrina Ward Harrison is an artist who inspired me early on in my career. She creates paintings and drawings, as well as installation art.
