Hi Cub Parents,

Can you believe we’re approaching week 5…time sure does fly!  These last few weeks have been a blast. This week in particular
was very exciting as you can see from all of the pic collages. We look forward to the next few weeks of camp and I’m sure your children are particularly looking forward to next week’s carnival, which is one of the highlights of the Tenderfoot Camp. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

6/29  WEEK 1 – Friendship Week!

Good Afternoon Parents,

The first week of Camp Tenderfoot has been a blast! Your children have been extremely busy participating in their daily activities, as I’m sure you’ve noticed…falling asleep during the car ride home, earlier bedtimes, difficulty waking up in the morning, etc. Lol They are quickly  adjusting to their fun-filled schedule and are deciding which special(s) is/are their favorite. They put their ALL into this week’s WOW projects as you’ve noticed the beautiful works of pottery they brought home yesterday. Sports and Games was also a favorite for most as they were able to release their energy, while also showing off their competitive personalities. In Nature, they were able to pick and taste various vegetables from the garden, as well as quietly watch for birds and chipmunks. FYI.. next week’s WOW is Nature, in which we’ll not only be making s’mores, but will also be participating in many exciting and breath-taking projects. During Music, they were enthralled in all of the friend-related songs they learned or already knew, as well as the movements that accompanied each song. During Drama, they all became little actors as the drama teacher read and assigned roles from classics such as “Corduroy”, “Caps for Sale” and others. And last but not least, the all-time favorite for most was Swimming, instructional for some and free-swim for the rest as they quickly advanced from red to yellow, orange to green, etc! And if they haven’t, have no worries, by the end of the summer, they will be little sharks!
So as you can see, your children are again having a ball! I forgot to mention that we finally made it to the playground, which was also another favorite! Please continue to encourage your children to “just have fun!” Also, if you could please look at the snack schedule just in case your child dislikes the snack of the day, you can send in an additional snack. Finally, we look forward to Parent’s Day so that you can witness your children’s enjoyment at Camp Tenderfoot!
