TADPOLES

Hello Parents,

It’s unbelievable that just seven weeks ago we began a summer of fun and excitement, and now our time together has come to an end.  It was a pleasure working with your children this summer.  The Tadpoles were amazing!

Please feel free to stop in tomorrow morning or at the conclusion of camp to pick up arts and crafts, activities created in the bunk, a swim certificate, extra clothing boxes and sun screen.  On behalf Octavia, Jared and I, thank you for allowing your child to participate at Tenderfoot Camp.

Sincerely,

Melissa

Week 3: The Tadpoles had a blast this week during pond and insect week.  We explored living things at the pond, like frogs, tadpoles and Reggie the turtle.  We also made butterflies and our own personal pond pictures.  Enjoy the pictures!

Dear Parents,

Welcome to the Tadpoles Bunk at Tenderfoot Summer Camp! It is our pleasure to care for your child.  Our staff of experienced counselors is prepared to help enrich your child’s camp experience.  It is our mission to provide competent, compassionate care to all campers within the guidelines established by Friends’ Central.

I am Melissa Trusty and I will be the head counselor in the Tadpoles Bunk. This is my third summer with Tenderfoot Camp.  Nate Franklin and Simone Gibson are two dedicated Tadpole counselors eager to serve and ensure that your child’s camp experience will be a memorable one.

I hope your child has enjoyed their first couple of days of camp. By now I’m sure you have noticed your child is wearing a red or an orange band on his/her arm. This band is an indicator for the swim instructors to identify each child’s swimming level and should remain on your child’s arm. Please label all clothing items; including swim wear. Also it would be very helpful if you could send a disposable plastic shopping bag with your child each day so that wet swimwear can be returned home daily.

Thank you for your diligence and cooperation. Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns. Again, welcome to Tenderfoot Camp!

Sincerely,

Melissa Trusty
