Prepare

Create a cookie cutter that will cut out a shape and create indentations for detail features. Once you have the basics down make a cookie shape of your own design.

This project is more complicated than it seems when it comes to making the cutout shape. To keep the outline a consistent thickness when working with a complex shape it is not enough to duplicate and shrink the shape to create the hole, because the shape will be distorted and not line up correctly. Overcome this challenge by creating new shapes to cut the interior.

• Make a ghost shaped cookie cutter using Project Ignite. Complete the first two lessons in the project called “Halloween Cookie Cutters.”

• Create your own custom cookie cutter in TinkerCAD. When you have completed your custom design we will 3D print it.
