Discord, Skype, or Teamspeak? Which one you should use, and why.

So here we have the three titans of voice and text chat, Discord, Skype, and TeamSpeak. These three applications have been competing for the best in the world in this genre, and we’re here to set the record straight. Which one is objectively the best? Skype released in mid-2003, and was a wildly popular app, as it was the first to really accomplish what everybody had wanted. TeamSpeak released in mid-2008 and was competing with Skype up until 2015. Discord released in early 2015 and was immediately recognized to be one of the best Voice and Text chat apps in the world. It conquered over Skype and pushed Skype into a downward spiral. TeamSpeak was standing strong and was still popular, and the fight between TeamSpeak and Discord lasted a very very long time.  After a while, Discord was starting to do much better than TeamSpeak in popularity, and TeamSpeak…

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate: Tips & Tricks

Here are some tips and tricks for the video game Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Please note: this is not a basic introduction to the game, you must have at least been exposed to the game for this to be helpful. Air Attacks: Unless you’re a very skilled player, you’re probably going to get launched into the air at some point during a match. Fortunately, the Smash developers created a way for you to counter on your fall downward: air attacks. If you press (A) while in the air, your character will perform an attack. Forward air (fair) and up air (u-air) attacks are mainly used for offense, while down air (dair) and back air (bair) attacks are used for defense. Timing: I cannot stress the importance of this enough. You don’t need to worry about mastering air attacks or parrying unless you have your fundamentals down first. Smash attacks, jabs,…

On February 22nd, 2019, the game development company, Bioware, released the game Anthem. Anthem had so much hype built up so everyone expected it to be an amazing game. But when the player base actually got to play the game, Bioware received some very unwelcome feedback. All the talk about Anthem being a good game had evaporated. What is 8th Grade Showcase?

At the end of your middle school career, every student is required to do 8th grade showcase, so… what is it?  This is the question I along with a majority of students have asked in the past and I will answer it for you. Showcase is supposed to be a presentation for students to “showcase” skills that  not only things that others may not know about you, but also describe you as a person. Usual things that students like to showcase are: singing, dancing, sports, cooking, making movies, and other talents and interests. Showcase should be thought about and worked on for a long time. Every student is given five months to work on it, although it is not a bad idea to start before; it can be a stressful process.     Here are a few ideas that some 8th Graders are doing this year:   Kyle Brady and…
