Avengers and Captain Marvel Trailers Are Here!

The new Avengers and Captain Marvel trailers came out during the Superbowl commercials. I am going to be breaking down each of the trailers scene by scene.   Let’s start off with the Avengers trailer. The opening scene is just flicking through the whole MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe), and then it cuts to the famous Marvel Logo. It cuts to three different shots of New York city. They filmed the Citi Field, The Statue Of Liberty, and a long shot. It cuts to a scene of a rehab group and Captain America saying, “Some people move on, but not us.” Then there are different shots of every Avenger getting ready for the final battle.  This movie sees the return of Ant Man. People have been going crazy over this because the ending of Ant Man and the Wasp, he was stuck in the quantum realm. This sequence of events ends…

New Grinch Recap & Review

GRINCH OVERVIEW Let’s just jump into it.   Now, The Grinch starts off with our beloved Grinch having a comedic encounter with his alarm, and is shown seeming to have trouble waking up. Despite this though, he has an extensive wake up routine that he is seen following every day as the movie progresses. In this wake up routine, we also get an earful of The Grinch soundtrack, but remixed to fit the current hip hop trend, with Tyler The Creator starring in the melody.   A little after some of the Grinch’s shenanigans, we are introduced to what seems to be our new main character, a Who mom who has trouble keeping up with her children whilst keeping the family afloat. But turns out it is actually the daughter of this mother that is the main character, a Who whose only Christmas wish is to make her mom happy….

The second trailer was released on October 2nd, 2018, exactly 72 days before the official release. Unlike many other Marvel movies, Into The Spider-Verse is animated.   Ratings: Ratings: Here are some of the ratings on a few websites. Rotten Tomatoes 9.9/10, IMDb 8.6/10, Metacritic 8.3/10, IGN 9/10, Google Users 9.7/10. The average rating all around is 9.1/10   Review: I saw Into The Spider-Verse recently and I really enjoyed it. It definitely deserved the ratings that it got. Every detail, like the little dots on the screen, was a throw back to the old comic books. Also, in some of the scenes, there are these text bubbles to really express what the character was feeling. This movie focused on telling the…

Infinity War Review

Disclaimer: MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD   Hey everyone, Luke and Jackson here, today we will be reviewing one of the largest movies of the year, Avengers: Infinity War. Infinity War came out on April 27, and instantly made waves in the community. Be warned, as this review will have spoilers from the movie that will honestly blow your mind if you have not seen it.   Infinity War is the newest installment in the MCU and Part One of the Culmination of the Avengers storyline that we know of so far. Naturally, a movie like Infinity War broke records, most notably the title for largest opening weekend in film history, making a foreign and domestic total of $630+ million dollars. The budget for the movie was $300-400 million dollars, meaning Marvel made back their expenses twofold in just one weekend.   The movie starts off with the main villain, Thanos,…

MCU Phase 4 Predictions and Hopes

Hi everyone, this is Jared and Riley. We will be predicting what will happen in the future of the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe). We will be talking about the movies and characters that we think will appear in the next batch of MCU movies, Phase 4.   Spider Man 2: Spring Break After the Sony/Marvel Spider-Man deal, at least 2 more Spider-Man solo movies are in the deal. We believe that Marvel will build up to a Spider-Man vs. Sinister Six movie. In this potential Spider-Man movie, Spidey would against the classic villain Scorpion. We chose Scorpion because he is a classic Spidey villain and would be a great hint at the Sinister Six. Black Cat could be a possible ally for our web-slinging hero. Scorpion as a villain would be a great set up for the Sinister Six.     Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 This is one…

Star Wars Timeline Recap

Hi, Dylan here, the Star Wars timeline is confusing. So in anticipation of Solo: a Star Wars Story, I will be publishing a Star Wars timeline, both in chronological order and in order of release. The Star Wars universe timeline is very confusing because there are so many comics and old cannon. So I will be using only the movie and tv cannon. (T.V shows are italicized) Chronological Order: Prequel trilogy: Phantom Menace Attack of the Clones The Clone wars/ Star Wars: The Clone Wars Revenge of the Sith Anthology films Star Wars Rebels Solo: a Star Wars Story Rogue One: a Star Wars Story Original trilogy A New Hope The Empire Strikes Back Return (Revenge) of the Jedi Sequel trilogy The Force Awakens The Last Jedi Episode 9 (untitled)   In Order Of Release A New Hope The Empire Strikes Back Return (Revenge) of the Jedi Phantom Menace Attack…

Black Panther Review

Spoiler Alert (you have been warned, no excuses) Marvel’s Black Panther, the first black superhero movie since 2004, just hit theaters. It earned over $700 million in total, already surpassing Captain America: Civil War and Iron Man 3. Once the movie tops Wonder Woman, it will be the fifth biggest comic book superhero movie of all time in North America. Now that they’ve seen the film, Jared, Leo, and Dylan are ready to share their thoughts about it. T’Challa First off, we’ll start with the man himself, T’Challa, otherwise known as the Black Panther. Chadwick Boseman, the man who plays T’Challa, captures the screen adaptation of the comic book superhero perfectly. Everything from his accent to his presence is just how I would picture the Black Panther as a real person. T’Challa starts out as a young prince practicing for his father’s place as king, and becomes so much more…

Avengers Infinity War: Trailer Analysis

The Avengers: Infinity War trailer dropped in late November and was number 1 on the trending list for virtually every video and media site. It was one of the most popular movie trailers ever and I will analyze it and see what I can get out of it. Warning! If you did not watch the trailer there is a link below. Also if anything I say maybe correct, then here is a possible SPOILER ALERT! In the beginning of the trailer, we see a red, cloudy planet, I presume this Xandar, after Thanos visits the planet to retrieve the Power Stone inside the Orb. I believe this is what the planet looks like after Thanos gets the stone and destroys the planet using it. Next, we see Tony Stark, “AKA” Iron Man, holding someone’s lifeless hand. I think the hand is either Captain America, or, Nick Fury, we do have…

Star Wars: The Last Jedi Trailer Analysis

[Trailer included at the end of the article.] The Last Jedi trailer just came out and it has blown up with theories and ideas behind it. This is my theory of what is going to happen in the Last Jedi. Warning! If you want to go into the movie fresh, don’t read this. SPOILER ALERT! In the beginning of the movie, Rey meets up with Luke and asks him to train her in the ways of the Force, but he is afraid and refuses to train her. I think when Luke says, “I have seen this raw power before,” he is referring to himself and not Kylo. I think this because of how quickly Luke saw himself learn the Force without much training, while Kylo had years of training behind him. When Luke refuses to train Rey, she goes rogue and encounters Snoke. Snoke captures Rey and tries to take…
