Live Action “Lion King” Dream Cast

HI, FRIENDS! So, a live action Lion King movie has been announced!

Now, the real question is: Who will be in the cast? So many great voice actors and regular actors in hollywood right now, so who to choose? Well, this is our dream cast of Jon Favreau’s The Lion King.

Simba – Donald Glover

Donald Glover is a youthful and amazing performer. He is a comedian, actor, and musician who would make the role entirely his own. His voice is beautiful as he’s shown in his songs and he has just the right acting style for this role.

Young Simba – Caleb McLaughlin

Caleb McLaughlin (most known as Lucas from “Stranger Things”) would be perfect for young Simba. He is an amazing singer and fantastic actor, especially in stressful or tense scenes. He has already played this role on Broadway and would undoubtedly ace it.

Nala – Lupita Nyong’o

Lupita Nyong’o is amazing at being very wise and independent like in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” and “Jungle Book”. She could be a great co-lead alongside Donald Glover.

Mufasa – Patrick Stewart

Patrick Stewart has an elderly elegance to him that is vital to the role of Mufasa. He also has a fatherly feel to his acting and he plays very caring and loving roles.

Scar – Benedict Cumberbatch

Benedict Cumberbatch normally does not play villains, but because of the intensity he put into his performance in “Doctor Strange”, I think he’s be perfect. Not only that, but he also was amazing at being menacing and evil as Smaug in “The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug.”

Timon – Seth MacFarlane

Seth Macfarlane is a great comedian responsible for shows like “Family Guy” and “American Dad”. Doing a creative and new voice, he could bring something new and unexpected to the table for a comedic role like Timon.

Pumbaa – Zach Galifianakis

Zach Galifiakanis is a funny sidekick/standalone comedic presence. He had this big and sloppy feel to his acting style that makes him perfect for the role. He would absolutely nail it.

Zazu – Colin Firth

Colin Firth is an English actor who played Harry Hart in “Kingsman.” He is wonderful at playing an authoritative figure, such as Zazu. Firth is great at being assertive, but can also be comforting and comedic at necessary times.

Rafiki – Forest Whitaker

Forest Whitaker is awesome at strange and mysterious roles like Rafiki. He has a perfect voice and overall acting tone for the role.

Do you agree with my picks? Are you excited for the movie? Let us know in the comments! Thanks for reading!
