Valentine’s Day Dinner

Valentine’s Day is tomorrow! In my family, we have a tradition where the guys cook a dinner and the girls buy presents on Valentine’s Day to celebrate. Then, the next year we switch tasks and celebrate again. I would like to share a few recipes for Valentine’s Day. Sorry for any vegans/vegetarians out there, as this list will contain meat and other animal products.

Appetizer

This is a Blue Cheese and Steak Crostini with Balsamic Vinegar. It only takes about thirty minutes to complete. I cooked this for a Valentine’s Day dinner in the past and I can confirm it is quick, easy, and tasty.

Entree

The Filet Mignon with a Rich Balsamic Glaze continues the trend with additional balsamic components, but that doesn’t make this any less delicious. The filet mignon dish also contains string beans/asparagus and roasted potatoes to balance out the intense flavor from the meat. Considering this recipes only takes about twenty minutes to cook, it is a great way to quickly create a delicious dish for anyone. This dish does contain small amounts of alcohol, so keep that in mind when serving it to someone. The alcohol does mostly cook away.

Dessert

I couldn’t help but put two recipes for the dessert section. Both if these recipes are amazing and it offers the opportunity to choose which recipe you like more.

Molten Lava Chocolate Cakes: What is there to not love? This dessert is fairly difficult to make, but if you get it right the result is incredible. These sweet single-serving cakes have hot melted chocolate on the inside and light powdered sugar on the outside. This recipe is not the fastest dessert you could make, so make sure you have enough time to bake the cakes and still eat them fresh.

You can’t go wrong with some simple chocolate-covered strawberries. These have always been one of my favorite desserts because the juicy strawberries always work perfectly with the chocolate. You never get overwhelmed by sweetness, but you still get a creamy chocolate to melt in your mouth. Chocolate-covered strawberries are easy, quick, simple, and tasty.

Drinks

For adults, a red wine works perfectly with all of these recipes. If you are not an alcohol drinker, or a kid, try some sparkling apple juice or water.
