FCS Flag Football Championship Preview

You all know the classic fall sports: Soccer, field hockey, cross country, girls’ tennis, etc. Hidden behind the parking lot of the sports world lies flag football, a sacred sport protected by the hands of Mr. Annas and Dr. Z. As the final leaves fall off the almost-bare trees of FCS, the flag football championship is coming, and coming fast.

As of Nov. 4th, 2015 at about 11:30 AM, the championship game will be the Red Team, led by Isaiah Williams ’20, facing the winner of the Yellow Team/Blue Team game. The Yellow Team is under the helm of Gordon Wilcox ’20, while the Blue Team is being led by Blake Roshkoff ’20. Red is walking into the championship as the #2 seed, who just beat the #3 Green Team in their semifinal match. Blue, the #4 seed, is seeking an upset over top-seeded Yellow. Hopefully that won’t happen, considering I’m on Yellow. GoYellow!

So here are my predictions:

Yellow will cruise over Blue, like, 90-0. (Sorry, Blake, but I just have to go for my own team on this one.) They will be facing a tough Red team, where Isaiah will lead the Red Team, throw at least 2 touchdowns, and win a close one. Final score prediction: Red 28, Yellow 22.

League MVP prediction: Isaiah Williams ’20

I’m not favoring anyone, but I used to be on his team and he is a BEAST. He can throw full field, dodge tackles like a pro, and just dominate teams single-handedly. This dude has real talent. I just know it.

Stay tuned to hear what happens in the 2015 FCS Flag Football Championship!
