App Unwrap: MyHomework

Everybody knows how hard keeping track of your homework assignments can be. While we do have Haiku, from my experience, Haiku is clunky, inconsistent, and hard to use. MyHomework, on the other hand, is an excellent app for keeping those homework assignments written down and ready to see as soon as you walk in the door of your house.

What does it do?

The MyHomework app allows you to record all your daily homework assignments, and then be able to see them when you need to do them. The app allows you to chronicle homework assignments, and set the due date, due time, subject, and even the priority. But all of this is optional, so you can leave the assignment blank except for a short description. image3

Like Haiku, MyHomework has a calendar. Unlike Haiku, this calendar is for all subjects, not for one subject at a time. And, the calendar is able to be edited by you, so you can set a date specifically for your needs.

How enjoyable is it?

Despite being an app about homework of all things, MyHomework is fun and charming. The subjects are colorful and pleasing to the eye. The app has charming little feature, where whenever you click on something, the window flies up , instead of just appearing. It really adds to charm of the app, and gives the app personality.

Cons

Despite being an excellent app, no app is without its flaws. The biggest gripe I have with this app is that there isn’t a notification feature! The app does not have the capability to give you a “bing,” so I often find myself neglecting to check the app because I didn’t get a reminder when I get home. Other than that, it’s pretty well rounded and an excellent tool.

Final Rating

I rate this app 4/5 iPads. While it has one large flaw, the rest of the app’s helpful features and enjoyable looks make it a great addition to any student’s iPad roster.6a010534998f56970b01676409cbb4970b-320wi
