What is a Bibliography?

A bibliography is a list of all the sources you used to get information for your report.  These sources include books, encyclopedias, magazine or newspaper articles, websites and online services.

The bibliography is arranged in alphabetical order.

*For a book:

Author’s last name, first name.  Title of book. Place Published: Publisher, Copyright year.

Ollhoff, Jim. Montana. Minnesota: ABDO Publishing, 2010.

 *For an Encyclopedia:

“Article Title”.  Title of encyclopedia. Placed Published: Publisher, Year. Volume.

“Massachusetts”.  World Book Encyclopedia. Chicago: World Book, Inc., 2007.

*For a website:

Authors last name, first (if available). “Title of article”.  Title of the website. The website address. The date you accessed it.

“Arkansas”. Arkansas.gov.  www.state.ar.us.  January 24, 2012.

“Arkansas”. World Book Online. www.worldbookonline.com. January 24, 2012. 

*For a Magazine:

Author’s last name, first name. “Title of Article”. Title of Magazine. Date: Pages.

Smith, Robert. “Lost in Ohio”. Newsweek. January 10, 2011: 117-119.
